This article contains a list of the best Christmas gifts for plant lovers that you can get in 2023.

Do you have a plant lover in your life? With the holidays coming up, you may be wondering what to get them for a gift that they will actually enjoy. This can be especially difficult if you yourself are not interested in plants. Luckily for you, I am! And I’ve put together this list of the best Christmas gifts for plant lovers to help you. They range in price so whether you’re looking for a stocking stuffer, or a big gift, I’ve got you covered.

1. A Cute Propagation Station

Propagation stations make great Christmas gifts for plant lovers. This will give them a place to root their plant cuttings while showing them off! I would recommend this one from Amazon: Plant Terrarium With Wooden Stand. I have one just like this and I absolutely love it. It is so cute and so functional!

If you’re looking for a different style, consider a wall hanging propagation station. This will not only save some shelf/table space, but also makes a beautiful piece of wall decor.

2. A Grow Light

Another great Christmas gift for plant lovers is grow lights! These can range greatly in size and price. I received an AeroGarden brand panel grow light for Christmas last year and it’s great! This is a great choice if the person you’re shopping for likes to grow plants from seeds, since you can fit lots of small planters underneath it, but not tall plants.

If you’re not sure what type of plants your friend would be using the grow light for, it might be safer to get something like this: Clip Grow Light. This grow light is small and can be clipped to a shelf/desk top, and can be used for a variety of plants.

3. AeroGarden Herb Garden

The AeroGarden herb garden is another gift I have received, and love! It includes a grow light and seed pods. Basically you just set it up, turn it on, and your garden grows! This is a great option if your gift recipient also likes to cook, as they will always have a supply of fresh herbs. This one is a bit pricier, but is a great option if you’re looking for a big gift!

4. Wall Hanging Planters

Something I bought for myself that I absolutely love is a set of wall mounted planters. In my opinion, this would make a great gift for plant lovers! This will give your gift recipient a unique way to display their plants, while freeing up shelf/table space.

5. Humidifier

Tropical plants like humidity! If your friend/gift recipient has lots of indoor plants, they would probably enjoy a humidifier. Lots of people choose to mist their plants regularly, but a humidifier would do this automatically for them. This humidifier is a great option for an affordable gift that the plant lover in your life will get great use from: Mini Desktop Humidifier.

6. A Cute Spray Bottle/Mister

As I mentioned above, lots of plant lovers like to mist their plants! A great stocking stuffer/smaller gift is a cute misting bottle. Here are a few that I found that I think would make great gifts: Glass Watering Spray Bottle, Decorative Gold Top Spray Bottle, Indoor Watering Can and Mister Set.

7. Crochet hangers

Crochet plant hangers are a trendy and functional way to display your plants. You can find them everywhere- if you visit a craft fair near you, you will probably see them! I found a few options on Amazon that I think are cute, if you want to online shop: Macrame Hanger With Wooden Beads, 4 Piece Macrame Plant Hangers, 3 Tier Macrame Plant Hanger.

8. Rooting Hormone Powder

A great stocking stuffer for a plant lover is rooting hormone powder. Your plant loving friend can use this to help them grow new plants from cuttings!

9. Fertilizer Sticks

Another great Christmas gift for plant lovers is fertilizer sticks. This stocking stuffer will help your plant loving friend feed their plants with ease. I love these because you can just put them in the soil and forgot about it. I have used the Miracle Gro Fertilizer Sticks, and I really like them!

10. A Plant

This might seem obvious, but I thought I would include it anyway. You might be intimidated buying a plant as a gift if you aren’t knowledgeable about plants yourself. Don’t be! A true plant lover will be happy with any plant that you chose. But I can make a few recommendations.

A few great options for someone who has recently gotten into plants are any kind of pothos (look for a hanging basket with trailing vines!), a heartleaf or Brazil philodendron (these also come in beautiful hanging baskets), a spider plant, any type of Monstera, or a snake plant. These are all relatively easy to care for, and you can likely find them at any garden center. If you’re not sure what size to get, I would recommend six inches, unless you know they have room for a bigger plant.

If your friend is a bit more experienced with plants, a few trendy options are a raven ZZ plant, or a Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. Both of these might be bit pricier and more difficult to find. If they have specified that they want a large plant, a great option is a fiddle leaf fig tree or a braided money tree.

I hope this gift guide helps you! I believe all of these options make perfect Christmas gifts for plant lovers. Happy planting and happy holidays!
